Research Method
We believe in the power of research ( primary and secondary ) and data ( qualitative and quantitative ). At the same time, we believe in the great potential in multidisciplinary and cross-sector solutions.
For a specific engagement, our research runs 3 dimensionally. Horizontally, we look at organizations similar to our client; vertically, we research on issues which are similar to our client’s either in format or in essence; then diagonally, we collect data around the client’s own organization or own need. Research findings and gathered data are then analyzed together to develop actionable plans with full considerations of cultural differences and organizational uniqueness.
This approach is both important and indispensable at the current stage of Chinese philanthropy, when the sector is still exploring various paths, organizations still experimenting models, and evidence being established and defined.
